Re: Almondo's GTi update 27/8/11
These turned up earlier this week.
Fitted them today
Took a metro scappy earlier and robbed the brand new AA battery out of it, as i think mines playing up. Alot smaller, cleaner and its black. looks alot nicer. Although i had to take a holesaw to the terminals to make the stock cables fit lol.
also rethreaded the bracket arms and chopped them shorter
and fitted my plug cover.(thanks Gary)

Re: Almondo's GTi update 27/8/11
i didnt want all the oil fumes going back into the intake i made and didnt want to clogg up the newly cleaned cultus manifold. Wot return the cam cover breather and the pcv valve( or wotever its called) go the the catch can which is vented to the atmosphere.
tbh iv been thinking of selling the interior, make me an offer if ur interested.
littles hoses? for the catch can? if so ebay lol
The blue thing is a temp sender for a temp gauge inside.

i stopped with the clear cam belt covers as other people can make them cheaper than i could, not quite the same as i was aiming for but £ is what people are interested in.

Well the link above^ and the guy i brought mine off
(dont know if he wants to be mentioned, looks identical to above links anyway, make me doubt that he made it tbh. lol)
i couldnt find anyone anywhere that has a vaccum forming machine that i could use or even pay them to create them as i already made the mould, my old school had 1 but was too small. and i dont fancy paying £8000+ to buy one.
i tried doing it with an oven and a diy vaccum table, had 1 failed attempt but my oven isnt big enough, and again dont want to buy a large oven just for an experiment.

Hi,
I'm getting 3 of them made.
I think it is much cheaper than that said price.
To my friend Gary, I will send you one as a gift. As I will be sending you for TIG welding!
I will let you know when I get it.
Cheers
