Starting Issue

Hey guys hope everyone is good tried going out for a drive last week in the swift to no avail, basically im lost, my car will occasionaly start, but really strugles, the battery went flat, so i charged it up, which didnt really help, guessed it was the alternator, which after a quick test was, so ive got a faulty alternator, but even with the battery fully charged my car really strugles, it will turn over a few times then just die completely, anyone got any ideas?

make sure all of the wires and earths are on proper
have you tryed to get a jump, if it cranks well then, you need a new battery mate
i just got mine replaced for free wiv the waranty coz it wouldnt hold the charge

Yeh it will jump, and occasionally starts, allways from cold, never from hot, my mate tested the voltage running through, and it was only sending 12v to the battery, and the lights allways get brighter when revving cheers for the help

(ps) i borrowed my mates battery fully charged and it wouldnt turn over

could be a poorly starter motor, i had a faulty starter once, it would struggle to turn over a few times and then die.

Might also need a new fan belt

Thats what my mate thought, chances of getting a used one?
