g13a starting and cutting out Empty g13a starting and cutting out

Hi,

My car (1.3 8v justy) has recently had headgasket changed. The throttle body was suspect as it was starting and cutting off, the throttle body has now been replaced but the problem persists.
It is sending fuel and trying to start, it will turn over and turn immediately stall as if it is getting flooded. We have checked the timing and all wiring and connections nearby but cannot seem to see why it is still doing this?

Any info i can use to diagnose this problem?

This car has been a headache since i bought it, what a piece of shit. I have suspicion it is a blocked cat, prior to the headgasket failing obviously there would have been excess water flowing via the exhaust. So the next step is so de-cat and weld a straight pipe in its place.

Once i get this car up and running Iam looking to sell asap! geek

Has it got a self diagnostic?
On a gti or even an 8v the fuse pannel under the dash in the drivers footwell has an empty gap for a fuse, its raised up above he rest of the fuses
If its the same put a fuse in and the engine light will start flashing, that will give you the code for the faulty part

we took the lambda out and the car started! Definitely a blocked cat, glad that is diagnosed, will take the exhaust system off tomorrow and decat the mofo! cat

the cat destroyed itself and managed to wedge into the exhaust pipe wherever it could. We disconnected the whole system and knocked all the pieces of cat out. Which have made things better, however I have a loss of power and white smoke at idle and whilst driving No The white smoke is constant, I thought I could drive it and blow the shit out. Going to monitor the water and oil levels over next few days and see if Iam loosing fluids and go from there.

Any help, bearing in mind this car has just had head gasket changed.

no cat s were hurt in this process lol

Looks like youl be changing it again! Its either water or oil being burned and considering thats the only major job youv just done, its the most likly suspect
Maybe an oil overfill?
Did you get the head skimmed when you changed it?
