the rear brakes you need gti hubs cables and to change the brake lines the hub splits in the middle
as for the front ive never worked on a 1.0 hub. I know people have used parts of the gearbox to gain a shorter final drive you will need to mesure the diameter of a 1.0 shaft splined section then i can check it against a gti one if ya like.
or if your going to convert to gti enginje soonish just weight and buy a whle gti will be much easier

when i done the front off my 1.3 8v i had to use hubs ,shocks ,driveshafts the lot and then had to get bigger wheels as there was no gap between the 13 inch wheels and the calliper

The GTi CV is different to the 8v, you will require GTI shafts to fit the GTI hubs.

mine is 6v... so i was thinking... could i fit outer CVs to my shafts and use gti suspension leg? cos my engine is shorter due to beeing 3 cyl and not 4.
