swift gti number 8

just bought this bad boy off of ebay needs a few parts and some love but im the guy for that

the underside is fairly solid looking wich is why i went for it

needs a bonnet and a boot due to rust and a respray as the red is faded

plan is to sort the bodywork go crazy with underseal fit a alarm and central locking keeping the wind up windows less hassle







apart from a check engine light seems to run ok and drove ok on 4 flat tyres lol

Like the mk2 model!  It is better looking then the mk3 in my opinion. Good luck fixing it and keeping it on the road!  

So stav the beast is back we got there got it on the dolly n discovered she a rotter lol soo hurry up get ya welder n we will get cracking ;-)

new tool in the rust battle this is much better than my old welder and a better pic of the engine bay car is in need of a tps

well day 1 at work of swift restoration is underway and she is not shy of rust thats for sure ! lol everythings being removed tomorrow i will start to combat the rust grinding picking and general cursing of things

I thought u left the game? Still got the turbo model? Anyway, there was no chance of finding a ph1 without rust. good luck with sorting it out. let Mr know if you need any parts, I've still got most bits I broke off a ph1

little update more and more work going on to the sills seems the last idiot just plated over the rust without treating it or cutting old stuff away







so it all getting cut off starting a fresh i hope by sunday i may have started to weld on the new metal

front end and anti roll bars off bolt snapped in chassis on front anti roll bar:twisted: i knew it was coming ! lol gone all the way along drivers sill tomorrow ill start cleaning all the metal up and removing as much rust as possable and then treat it

bloody English roads and their rust making magic.
Got your work cut out for you Steve. can you get replacement/pattern parts for the rust repair of swifts?
