unbolt the hinge from the chassis and use a rubber mallet to knock the bent bit down, a hammer if your realy brave, might hit the roof though, maybe hold a bit of wood the other side, inside the car behind where your hitting it, youl be suprized how much it helps
the metal is a thin gauge so it shouldnt be a problem, if not you could always cowboy it and use some sort of g or c clamp

As above, shape a block of wood and belt it with a hammer . If the block Is the right shape you could do it hatch in situ which will help test to se if its in the right place after each hit or so, test regularly as if you go too far it wil be harder to bring back.
When I say block I mean a hefty block not a bit of cut mdf. solid enough to transfer awhack or two from the hammers. You need to push the Hinge base flat.
And dont do it again.

Embarassed Dont do it again. Got ya!

Thanks fellas. I already gave it a whack but think it may need more. The way i did it was to put the end of a socket extention bar aginst the bent point(inside roof) and whack it with a mallet!
A block of wood will be used next time.

I am also considering elonggating(is that a word?) with a drill bit the 2 holes that the boot ataches to the hinge through. Then i could push the boot further forward before tightening it.
What do ya reckon?

Cheers boys.
