This car is a great education, especially for James, welding lessons:
Our new project - Page 3 IMG_0545

We have decided that because this is going to be a race car & may end up in a fence paying out big bucks to buy new floors was not the best idea. So we are cutting out all the rot & welding in fresh metal, the good news is that after quite a bit of hard work the underneath is not as bad as we first thought Very Happy

The huge dent in the rear wing has now gone
Our new project - Page 3 IMG_0539-1

We had to cut out some serious amounts of the floor
Our new project - Page 3 IMG_0538

Only quality metal was used

He is getting better Steve, the last patches he did looked quite good, the car has had a serious amount of welding done to it. If it was any other car we would have scrapped it Very Happy

Progress has been a little slow at the moment on the build had lots of work on latley but managed to get a few hours in today most of the prep for paint is done on the car another hour of welding and that will all be done started bolting some panels on as one of the painters requests. All the bolts have been replaced with new ones.Bought two brand new front wings put a set of doors on we allready had as others were rusty but its coming along nicely and should be in for paint end of this week. Pics will be up tomorrow

real shame you couldnt keep the original paint work. Are you going to be reproducing the one piece flywheel?

The car was rotten Steve, if it was any other car we would have scrapped it, we are looking at making loads of different bits. Jimbo will post on here when we have final product / prices.

Regards

Jerry

Jesse,

This is real rally/dart car.
We found this car in Japanese auction and it is ex-Monster car.
So Jerry is restoring it to former glory.
Then Jimbo is going to race it.... you lucky sod Suspect !

Cheers
Atchi
