Re: leak AGAIN
Hi,
most likely water is coming from the top.
Have you checked what under tha carpets are like?
Is there any water marks on your floor/bulkhead and so on?
Is this happen when you drive your car in the wet or when it was standing in a rain?
Cheers

Re: leak AGAIN
take your front wings off and check out behind there proberly a nice hole going into the chassis that will feed water in from like the top of your pedals on the right hand side

Re: leak AGAIN
Im guessing windscreen leak, door window leak or heater tray inlet leaks. Mine would constantly have a wet carpet in one area, took months to discover a very small dribble of water that appeared under certain circumstances, it was enough to drown the carperts. was door window seal and inner plastic guard leaking into cabin down inside face of door.

Re: leak AGAIN
im afraid thats the begining of the end mate
my 1st gti had it, ended up with 2 massive holes in the floor near the pedals
i used to keep a towel under the carpet
if you like the swift that much, keep it and use it as a doner car in a few years
if you dont you`l prob regret it

Re: leak AGAIN
How about this.
-Take out the drivers seat(not hard).
-Make sure the area's in question are completly dry.
-Get in the car, close doors and windows and crouch down real low where the seat should be.
-Get a friend to spray the car with a hose pipe.
-Be patient!
-Eventually the water will come through and you will find the leak.
If your having trouble spoting the leak try sticking some tissue paper to the vertical area(s) you THINK the water might be coming from. If the paper gets wet your on the right track. If it stays dry you might be able to rule those places out!
Remember, paper on the horizontal(floor) might be useless becouse water will spread once on the floor so wont really pinpoint anything!
Of course, if you take the dash out before doing this it will be alot easier!
Good luck mate. Dont give up. Im sure its just a matter of time and patience to grt it sorted
