your swifts

hiya all im from Redcar, cleveland. this is my 2002 1.0 swift, im learning in at the moment so no serious mods but planning to keep it for a few years.got driving test booked on 22 may , soon after that il be getting tints alround , gti side skirts,14' or 15' alloys , also got now plain black sun strip, free flow filter...

Here's a couple of pics of mine that i took today... Currently renovating her to get her back on the road within the next couple of weeks. In the process of refurbing my alloys / tidying up the bodywork a little, and stripping the interior.



As you can see I've not done the rear wheel yet lol





Decided to paint the bonnet badge in gunmetal grey, was going to leave it off but whatever it was held on with before had reacted badly with the paint, so i sprayed it and stuck it back on. As you can also see, i need a new bonnet as one night i forgot to fasten my bonnet pins and it flew up, smashing the windscreen!

booking car in to get windows tinted alround next week i cant wait, as nearly got skinn burn last time it was sunny,its shocking how clear my glass is im sure gti's aint as clear

i like the rims car needs do be dropped i think lots wil look alright

ye thats one of my next tasks , just need to get some there was some spax springs on ebay i was gonna bid on but theyv gone so just gotta keep an eye out for some.anyone know who selling some just p.m please.

Is tinting the indicators on the front headlights legal? I might do that to mine seeing as though i haven't got hold of any clear ones yet. You should add a couple of spotlights to the front bumper, I've just stuck some dummy ones in mine and it looks ten times better.

ye i think its legal long as dont have them too dark, my indicators dont seem to have gone any dimmer realy, ye they do suit having spotlight like i want tinted windows next though, where you get yours done at ? probably get mine done next few weeks.

Update- got back box fitted and tinted rear lights.

well i think its time for an update on my swift as its changed alot from the above post ,and you may be glad to know that universal back box has been replaced

thanks for the comment , there just primera sri 14' alloys with 185/55/14 tyres on ,them 13' wheels were too skinny like

Black one on the left is exactly like mine, although yours is in much better condition. I'll buy the bonnet and front bumper

my swift

off the road now was crashed by a slut what can i say. next few months will be busy can only work on it at weekend so plenty of dry weekends
