CV joints Empty CV joints

I was just reading the reapair manuel regarding CV joints. It says that the hub ends of the CV joints can not be replaced.Does that mean I need a full new drive shaft if it goes? Does n e one no a way round this?

they can mate, just put the driveshaft in a vice and knock the old cv joint off with a hammer, then tap the new one on, dont forget to put the new cv boot on first
