Hi,
I was thinking of Justy, welded VC and take drive shafts out of front.
That will make RWD Swift looking car.
You look at this one.

Hi,
You have pot joints there.
FWD has inner CVs and outer CVs and in between them, you have drive shafts.
So if you take drive shafts out from both side and keep inner CVs you will have oil tight gearbox.
You will need to have VC welded as Justy box is not a permanent AWD.
Cheers

Re: rwd swifts
I think that you would also need to weld the front diff as the spider gears 'may' explode.
This is untested, let me know how it goes lol

I'd try a suzuki carry gearbox it's rear wheel drive and it's a van so I think it would be heavy duty. It's a g13 bb engine in it so the bell houseing should fit the gti engine nicely

Re: rwd swifts
No sadly it hasn't so you'd need to move the engine round and proberly build a transmisson tunnel for the gearbox . that'll be fun

Re: rwd swifts
i think it would be easier to put a gti engine into a carry then make a rwd swift, carries can be fun
