Turbo manifold !!
Just thinking out loud.. but is there another turbo manifold with similar exhaust port spacing that could have the flange cut off, slightly modified and a G13b one welded on ?
Like this ? .
I cannot weld and thought it would be easier to take the two parts to a fabricator is you know what i mean !!

Re: Turbo manifold !!
not that anyone knows of. if you want to buy cheap shit now and wait for it to break go for it the only mani you could do that easily for a swift with is a 1000 gsxr manifold would work out cheaper to buy a kit form starkey in the long run

Do starkey still do anything for turbos apart from the chip ?, i keep my eye on the website but not seen anything for a while (any chance of a link ?). I dont really want the kit, just a manifold at the moment !.

Re: Turbo manifold !!
4age has the same spacing as g13b but i cant remember if its the inlet or ex, could be both
im sure theres a few turbo mani`s out there for that engine
atchi (miniswift) got a few stainless fanges cut, i dont know if he has some still or if he can get some more done
i have no idea on the price

Re: Turbo manifold !!
The fancy one (will flow over 330bhp) is a bit more than that, but theres also the possibility of a log manifold which might suit me a bit better
I will also have a look into the 4age as well ( just curious )

Cheers !! ...i know they don't flow as well as a equal length manifolds but i'm only looking for 150bhp and i'm pretty sure a "wank" manifold will manage that.

Re: Turbo manifold !!
Hi,
If you can make a log "wank" manifold and still fly past you, will it still be "wank"?
I can make them for less than £100 and if it helps to make 180bhp.
I would rather have "wank" manifold.
You have to remember, some of us has even less space than Gti...i.e. ME!
You can spend £300 on manifols which will flow better but you won't use full capacity of it.... Your gearbox will break before you go over 150Bhp!
I would rather spend £200 elsewhere than looking better!
My rant over...phew!
Cheers

Re: Turbo manifold !!
anyone know how close a 4-age really is?
and cast/log manifolds are not that bad at all- they keep the heat close to the turbo. Rapdily expanding exhaust gas is what its all about if you want driveability/faster spool. sure a high flow equal length one is a good thing, but only really needed when big bhp is needed. I'm into street cars and corners, lol.
