snapped cam belt

hi everyone..

just a quick question.. the guy who im suposed to be getting the swit gti from, just txted me saying the cambelt has just snapped..

is the gti an intererance engine? or can he just time it up and pop another belt on?

its a 95 if that makes any diferance

no difference on the age, the engine is basicly the same as 25 years ago
and yes it is interferance
stay away from that one, he might be lucky but i doubt it
