Fuel filter...help
Need to change my fuel filter soon for the first time. Had a look and its bloody tight under there! But the worst thing is that the bolts are really rusty
Cuttind/drilling/power tools aint an option near the fuel so any advice before i tackle the job would be apreciated.
Oh yeah, i've soaked it in wd40
Thanks

Re: Fuel filter...help
i use cutting/drilling tools there no worries fuel aint as flammable as you think open the peteral cap first to depresureize the system
only use 6 sided sockets
try get the car on a ramp if ya can
it aint hard to do just have some spare bolts

I agree wiv steve. The only way to do it is cut it. The bolts are so rusty. I had to retap a new thread into the fuel filter brace it was that bad.
Obviously try and undo with a ratchet/spanner but I guarantee the bolt/s will break.
