Hi,

Anything is easy if you know what you are doing.
Make sure you drain gearbox oil first.
Do you have an owners service manual?
You will need to take out both pot joints. To do this you will need to take out both front hubs from bottom arms. Also, don't forget to take out speedo drive which has bolt on the side!

Cheers

You only need to take pssinger side drive shaft out leav the other 1 it makes it a lot easier. and as for speedo drive dont undo bolt. just remive metal clip ind the cable will slide out.

defo get the clutch tool, bout a 5er from halfords
the hardest part is putting the new box on
take off the other shaft aswell coz it will be easyer to put it on
its bad enough trying to persuade 1 spline to line up let alone 2
this link takes you to the factory manual for the g/box
pages 14+15 should tell you all you need to know

i just realised that you dont need the clutch tool for just a box change Rolling Eyes
are you changing the clutch aswell?
i would atleast have a good look at the plate, cover and thrust bearing whilst your at it, just to be sure
there would be nothing worse than a month down the line and the cluch go`s then you gota do it all over again
