New engine (rally car)
Some of you were aware I was getting a new engine sorted for my rally car .
Finally after much scrimping and saving over an 18 month period it's in, run in, mapped and ready to go.
It came off the rolling road last Tuesday and produced 155bhp and 120lbft of torque (just short of 8000rpm) , it did peak at 163bhp but the torque was down (102lbft) so was mapped for less peak power but more torque (torque = accelleration) which is what you need on a rally.
Brief spec:-
1362cc
Standard forged steel crank
Forged H beam steel rods
Forged high compession pistons
Special head
SSGTI.NET cams
Tapered injection throttle bodies
Fully mapable engine management.
