What And where is the following?
Struggling to find it in my workshop manual , sometime I know wording can be different

Offside/ drivers side-front suspension arm Ball joint cover excessively damaged and no longer prevents the ingress of dirt

Nearside/passenger front constant velocity joint is insecure

Anyone's help will be much appreciated

Thanks

1) bottom joint on the end of the arm. split

2) cv joint excessive play? knackered

why not just ask the garage/person who mot'd it to clarify?

MOT topic Empty Fix

Post  robinsonj1 12/08/15, 12:33 am

1) do you mean the gaitor/cv boot ?

2) and insecure meaning not tight or nakered? Lol

Possible get a cv joint kit which will include the gaitor

Obviously the gaitor won't be hard to fit
But is the joint a ball ache to fit? Will I need to take
The full Drive Shaft off ?

no, if you have a manual go on to page 3d-2, its where number 5 arrow is pointing to.

i would of thought they meant the cv was knackered, if the nut holding it on was loose, your wheel would probably have come off by now lol.
section 4 in the manual

MOT topic Empty Sorted

Post  robinsonj1 12/08/15, 11:24 am

Yeah cheers think I've got it sorted ,

Last question. If I were to order two flexi hoses for the rear both side would these include the ferrule
Suzuki do the flexi hoses but the actuall ferrule which by the way he didn't know what it was said will take upto 3 week as its a kit with the little boot , bracket leaver, washer , nut an spring
It doesn't refer to It In the manual and I presume it's the camshaft on the diagram

surely the hoses will include the ferrule/ camshaft

i take it you mean the brake hoses.
hose will be just the hose that bolts to the caliper with a banjo fitting and to the brake lines, thats it nothing else.

are you on about the bits for the hand brake on the caliper?

MOT topic Empty Bits

Post  robinsonj1 12/08/15, 08:16 pm

Yeah as far I know the brake hoses,
Presume connecting to the calipers as nothing wrong with handbrake at all
Said rear brakE ferrule excessively corroded

My mechanic said if I got new flexi hoses it should include these ferrules in with it
As there attached

MOT topic Empty Suzuki

Post  robinsonj1 13/08/15, 04:02 pm

Suzuki say that the ferrule or camshaft as they pronounced it comes in a kit including
Camshaft/boot/ bracket leaver/ washer, but an spring and there £42.02 +vat

And the flexi hoses are £41.20 +vat each

Will the flexi hose included a new ferrule with it ?

Or is it the other part I will need ?

Unsure now as what to do lol

the ferrule is the end on the hose, its attached and wont come off.

you dont need anything else but the hose.
tbh you will be better off going online and buying a goodridge braided hose kit than pay that price!
should be able to get all 4 cheaper that suzuki's price for two

MOT topic Empty Which ones?

Post  robinsonj1 14/08/15, 09:51 am

cheers mate thanks a lot for the help

Can get a kit containing 4 which I preume is all round

But there is that many on there I'd end up getting the wrong ones

Says 88-92 on some of them which will be the phase 1 but surely phase 1 + 2 MK2 lines would be the same ?
