Kee's 1991 Suzuki Swift Gti - Race Project
Hi all,
new to the swift scene, here is my gti. Bought a few weeks ago, slightly modified and stripped out. My intentions are to compete in hillclimbs/sprints up north with my target set firmly on beating records (if my driving skills are good enough) in a few years time.

First job was to get rid of the crappy old bucket seat in and replace with my kevlar seat and better harnesses

t'other night I replaced the front brakes, good job aswell, 1 pad had started to fall apart, the other had the pad material completely separated from the backplate

cleaned the MAF

Saw this at Retro Rides gathering at Prescott yesterday. Looked and sounded good going up the hill

I did two runs in my starlet engined mini, was good fun. Wished i did the morning session though as everyone kept coming off the track in the afternoon and closing the hill.
I see what you mean about wind in the vid, at the start it sounded like epic turbo spool lol

done nothing to this since the last update really.
rear brakes are sorted after a quick caliper rebuild, bloody knackered seals.
now sorn'd and out of MOT.
needs a hole in the floor welding up at the least and i'm going to be going round it cleaning it up and repairing if needed.
Also will be stripping all the suspension down and replacing all round bushes with nylon bushes which I will make myself.
Hoping to get adjustable toe bars made on the rear and find an interior to fit.
will phase 2 interiors fit ok? just need all the rear trim, may aswell buy a scrap swift and do it that way. also need the sunroof mechanism and i'll be close to race ready.
bought a pair of these wheels too, and i'll be buying some tyres at some point.
1st race of the season is 6th April at 3 sisters in Wigan, this is the target.
then hoping for 10th May harewood hill and another trip to wigan later in the year.
otherwise i'll generally be terrorizing the local focus st's
