mk4 suzisport: Jeep-safari fotoshoot :D
Hello people,
I'm Robin from the Netherlands and want to share my swift build project with you. I won't tell you all the details here because then it would be too much to read.
So I will keep it as short as possible
This is how it looked when I bought it 3 years ago.
first things done were a muffler tip, lowering springs, clear fog lights and indicator lights together with some audio:
changed all the interior lights into blue leds
then ran into an original suzuki front lip which brought me some ideas....
after a year it still looked like this
but at the meanwhile I was on the hunt for some OEM optional parts....
while hunting some rims were bought
and some improved brakes were installed
went on vacation to France (Mont Blanc at the background)
complete RVS exhaust system and swapped brake light to led
some extra audio went in (in total now 8 speakers and a sub are installed together with 2 amplifiers)
clean engine bay and home made front chassis brace.
interior
and then finally found what I was looking for for more then a year
checked for rust (found nothing )
made a glovebox-light
bought a gti for my brother (which he totalled 3 months later)
then found some other stuff at the yunkyard
kept the rear lip myself for my project and sold the front.
and went on vacation to France again
and a little movie clip from when we were driving in the mountains of France: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIhQrbO1_oY
hmmm.....
started to repair my mk2 bumper
and cut the fiberglass mk3 bumperlip to make it fit my mk4 rear bumper
oehhh
made some custom made brackets for the gti rear stabilizer.
as you can see the whole bottom of the car is conserved to prevent rust.
playing with fiberglass
and some time later
at the end it has to look something like this
ready for some paint
started to strip the car to make it ready for damage repair and a fresh paintjob
found only a very little amount of rust.
bought some winter tyres while the car was at the painter. I have painted the center of the rims to make it look a little bit more attractive.
it's all about the details
starting rebuild!
and then my exhaust was to small so installed some other exhaust tips
then had a water leakage which eventually was found to be the new front windscreen. But before I knew that it was the windscreen.....
last week repaired a front driveshaft
and now it is running great! Love the car as it is right now. Specs of the exterior:
-clear fog lights
-no logos
-converted front indicators to city-lights and installed the indicators in the front bumper
-mk2 gti front bumper + OEM lip
-gti sideskirts
-opel astra g side indicator lights
-replaced the front screen spray nozzles into the mesh under the windscreen (welded the holes in the hood)
-no antenna on the roof (welded the hole)
-no key hole in the hatch (welded the hole)
-OEM fender wideners
-fiberglass custom made rear bumper lip based on a OEM mk3 lip
-RVS exhaust from front to back
-gls spoiler
-15 inch rims
-lowering springs
On winter wheels:
Also refurbished the summer wheels:
Played with some carbon wrapping foil:
Wrapped the b-pillars:
Fixed an oil leaking issue from the distributor:
Converted the mk4 rear light to mk3 style, but still with original working fog lights.
normal
normal+foglights
While braking all 4 lights become brighter.
Build some Suzuki logo projectors in the doors
Then stripped a Subaru Justy because of it having a broken engine and rotten floor. My brother got the complete bodykit and exhaust. He has a Justy himself too. I got the gearbox, 4wd system and the sport damper/spring setup. Originally I wanted to keep the 4wd system also, but have revised my plans for the future. The Justy of my brother will become 1 colour this summer (matt black plastidip)
and there she goes...
At the moment I am playing with the gearbox to convert it to 2wd.
Well hope you enjoyed this large amount of pictures. Sorry for the large story...this is just only what I have done to my car and my brothers...let's not talk about all the other swifts that I've worked on the last 3 years

The bumper is an aftermarket item, i thought bosch design.
And we are currantly making molds of the arches, we allredy have a mold for the front arch, and still have to make them for the rear
The origional suzukisport items have a few ribs though, we dont have those..

The arches are original Suzuki items. The front bumper also. The rear splitter used to be a replica from the original Suzuki splitter for a mk3 gti model which I cut into pieces and made it fit the mk4 bumper with some extra fiberglass. So there is only one of these.
In the meanwhile haven't done much work on my own car. Did place a gti gearbox a while ago which makes it much more fun to drive.
But we made some progress with my brothers Subaru Justy:

A friend of mine searched a long time for these, but finally got them into the Netherlands. Original clear Suzuki headlights and cornerlights. We placed xenon with angel eyes inside it.
Unfortunately the pictures do not do them justice. In real life they are better
