oil readings
Does anyone know 2 places I can put 1/8 npt fittings on my g13b engine? One for oil pressure one for oil temp. before you say put a sandwich plate with the oil filter, i'm using a thermostatic sandwich plate for my oil cooler which can't be used with sensors.

Re: oil readings
I would say head but some have had problems there, could always use inline adapters

Different readings, leakages
you can get adapters that take 1/8 sensors that go inline between. plate and oil cooler
You could always mod your plate to take a sensor

Re: oil readings
Can't be done. my plate is thermostatic so will only open at high heat, so it won't give me any readings at low temp.

Ebay, you can get the mocal or missimoto. What if I get a Suzuki carry oil filter housing and make my own tapings for the sensors?

Re: oil readings
There's loads of oil cooler relocation kits on Ebay, but the pics of them are inconclusive. Don't know if.the relocation section has got the 1/8 fittings and I can't see where my thermostatic plate fits into this! Have you got a link of you're build and where did you get your kit from?

Re: oil readings
Why have all the oil filter relocation kits only got 3 pipes, they should have 4 right?

Re: oil readings
1 from engine to filter, 1 from filter to cooler, 1 from cooler back to engine

Re: oil readings
What about my sandwich plate? I think I'll add another hose, so 2 from block to filter and 2 from sandwich plate to cooler. The fittings and the plate will such out a bit, will this be a problem if I go turbo?

Re: oil readings
The whole point of relocation is for more room so theres no need for the plate, tbh mate I think you should either tap 2 threads in the side of the plate, dusnt matter if its got a thermo, that only opens the outgoing hose, the oil will still be going around the inside of the plate, or the easyer way is to use the std pressure sensor possition and use a t adapter in there

Re: oil readings
I think I've finally got it, relocate the filter, than put the plate on the relocated section instead of the block, than pipe the oil cooler in. from what I've seen the relocated section has got tappings for the sensors. This setup won't give an issue with oil pressure will it?
