Awd viscous coupling
Does anyone know the best way of welding the viscous coupling on the Awd transmission. Looking at it im thinking of welding around the bearing to stop it from turning. Has anyone got any better ways off doing it. Also wondering if there are two different types of viscous. Any help would be great b4 i weld it. Thanks.

join the two parts of the clutch pack housing together. this needs to be done while the two halves are perfectly aligned.
best to strip out the clutch plates first. also machine a fillet around weld face to get good buildup of weld.
there are a few posts with links to Garndi's photos.

Their is only one type, Garndis pics show the Viscous with the outer casing cut off, you will need to do this if you are going to weld it. Its not a simple job & you will get filthy dirty doing it, good luck
