For those on throttle bodies and carbs

Have you ever put an air intake similar to an impreza one on the bonnet for more air to the tb or carbs. Just wondering if it will affect the under bonnet air temp by the extra air pushing against what goes through the rad.

It would also give increased volume from the tb and carb and therefore sound even better.

Thats exactly what i was thinking about but not too sure if i want a scoop on my bonnet. My itbs are all ready to bolt up once my engine is back together and my brother in law laser cut me a backing plate out of polly carb and is a perfect fit! Very pleased with it looks great!

I think it would be better off making cold air feed than a bonnet scoop.
I thought the bonnet scoop was for an Inter cooler above the engine.

I think lifting back end of the bonnet for hot air to escape will be better than increasing pressure under bonnet.

So if you lifted rear of bonnet and put a scoop it would put more air on the filter and also sort out the extra pressure under aswell...???

I have made prototype and nearly finished.
I just need to make new ali rail for the top and the bottom.

This is how it looks.







Black trampets are made of rubber but original ones are white plastic and may be able to glue it in a GRP airbox.
I can make 2 more but I don't know if any one would want them!
