justy project from start to nearly finished
so heres the justy build just made this on another forum so thought id copy and past it as its all in date order near enuff and pritty much complete project ....
all started when i came across a subaru justy cheap and still had all my swift turbo bits laying so heres goes
the original swift turbo that started it all
so the engine build
ported head
drilled and tapped block for knock sensor
440cc supra injectors
ghetto dash
home made mani
all stickerd up
the first overhaul
reversed entry intake mani
exhaust open downpipe cut out
2.5 inch exhaust
old vs new
fancy intercooler pipes
new equal manifold
oil cooler mounted
filter relocator
all back togeather
rear arm i modified for camber adjust
12.9 secounds on street map
honda 282's offerd up
coilover conversion using honda civic coilovers
steering bearing cups i made
rear towers modded
roll cage
machined out diff housing to take mini prop right through
nice new stainless mini prop i made to completely remove viscous coupling giving 50/50 drive split
welded rear diff
old prop vs new
justy rear arb 16mm and swift gti front arb 22mm i re-bent to fit rear of justy
brake adaptors i machined
another overhaul this time all underseal wishbones etc painted poly bushing made up swift coilovers using swift konis and rally sleves recleaned all engine bay plus somewere above the dash was replaced and whole car re-wired with air craft grade cable and general tidy up
hel brake lines
sideskirts fitted
thats pritty much it most the pics are in a fairly good date order the cars now nearly back togeather just waiting for new turbo and coilovers to be rebuilt engine is currently running 1.1bar of boost pushing out 215whp around 265bhp and last run was 12.4secounds with a 1.7 60 foot but that was without launch control and flat foot shift and without decent suspension which are all now fitted aswel

Re: justy project from start to nearly finished
Hi, I'm going to be making my own Justy Gti soon, are there any specific things to watch out for in terms of needing to modify parts to make them fit?
Cheers.

Re: justy project from start to nearly finished
Hi,
What CR do you think you are running?
I'm building an engine with a block guard as well as grouting the bottom half.
My mate Jerry will be using my first modified engine block to test it for over 300+Bhp.
My engine block will have higher CR than standard Vitara setup of 7.2-ish:1 so should be better.
Are inlet manifold, under car barce made by Gary?
Also, how do you find your paddle clutch?
Looks good anyway!
Cheers

Re: justy project from start to nearly finished
Hi,
How do you find welded rear diff?
I have been told it skips in a car park. What you have done to VC is good idea, though.
Are you thinking of replacing standard driveshafts soon? From what I can find info about std shafts, rear will be the first 1 to twist now you are running 50/50.
My mk1 Gti has been modified to run Justy AWD system and it is getting turbo-ed with a TD04. I'm thinking of getting std clutch modified by C&G people to make spring centre with 5 paddle.
I can get holf of torsen LSD for both front and rear so if you need them, let me know.
Cheers
