Paddle clutch
I am changing the clutch as soon as I get back from NZ as the old one is I suspect shot to bits
I want to go for a paddle clutch and can get a helix item for just under £400 (pressure plate, clutch plate and bearing)
What other brands are out there. What are you big bhp guys running.
I have seen the panther brand on eBay but I don't know anything about them
Cheers

Re: Paddle clutch
I started a thread on here about my paddle clutch
I used cg motorsports, he modded a std plate to paddle, I use a helix cover but he also mods covers to high pressure
My plate cost £80, atchi had alot of work done there aswell

Re: Paddle clutch
Here is mine!
OEM modified to 5 paddles.
HD pressure plate.
They reconditioned my plate surface and painted.
All the work for £165 including postage.
I'm very happy with it and I told them I will be using 240-ish Bhp.
Cheers

Re: Paddle clutch
Looks good Atchi. I will give them a shout tomorrow. I have a spare clutch sitting in the garage so they can have that, do the work while I am in NZ and I dont have to disable the car for a while

Better update this
I got one from cg motorsports. Good to deal with. Exceptional price and delivery. The clutch worked really well.

Re: Paddle clutch
I suspect the new clutch had something to do with my gearbox shall we say developing a small fault. One of the cv joints has also failed.
I am now going through the motions of pricing up either the F13 conversion or a dog box for the swift but by all accounts I have to use a mk2 box for that. No big deal just change the clutch to hydraulic I think. However all the dog box stuff is abroad and nova/f13/quaiffe is here and easier to sort any problems.
