justy steering rack question

ive taken the powersteering pump off today and im just wondering do i need to link these two pipes im left with up to eachother? or can i take all the fluid out?

I think it is common to link the left and right ports with a connecting hose and maintain a smal amoint of flid in there to lubricate the pistons etc.
Whay are you doing this, is the justy rack a different ratio?

i think the justy is the same ratio as the swift, and im doing it because i havent had a belt on it for about 2 months and ive not missed it so i'd say its just afew kilos of extra weight...
