gti rear arb on gls ??

Is it possible to fit a rear arb to a gls shell? anybody got some pictures of a rear arb installed so i can get a picture of what i need, ive had a look in whitelines website and still abit confussed as to how the rear would fit.

It is possible but what you need is to drill holes in the wishbones (for droplinks) and to drill a hole in the floorplan for the centre bracket (can get one off an old GTi)

Its well worth the effort as improves handling no end!

what are the drop links lke for the rear? are they the same as the front? because the rear suspention arms have got holes in them already like the front ones and the holes in the floor pan sound easy enough could do with some pictures so i can get a better idea, any chance u could get a few pics of arear arb on a swift gti for me ryan ?

Get a standard GTi rear bar with drop links and it will bot onto the rear arms no dramas you need to fabricate mounts to the boot floor or as mentioned remove GTi ones and weld/bolt in place

I bolted through floor and through GTi bracket with large washer on inside of boot then clamp together with lower part of bracket as you see

cant imagine drop links in the best of condition and no middle bracket sorry!

I can clean it down and paint it black for that aswell!

lol ryan id hve it cleaned and powder coated proply. im intrested anyway ryan just need to see what kind of funds ive got left to play with this month but ill let ya know. Fair play if the drop links arnt in a good way just so i have some so i know what i need to order your in chesterfield arnt ya ?

i got them from merlin mosport at castle combe
i think they were about £25, but that was a few years ago
theres a metal plate the bolts screw in and you can either drill holes in the floor put the plate through from the inside or you can weld them on

lol as much as id love to i wont be as shes not on the road well got everything except insurance and im not insuring it now aswere cuming into winter and its pointless lol when shes all up and running ill meet up with ya so u had see the matchine lol
