Re: How to remove rear window properly ?
i havnt done a rear window yet but i guess its the same as the front, stuck on with mastic
all i did with the front was get a strip of thin sheet steel, gave it a grinding on the edge to give it a bit of a surated edge, i cut a bit out of the mastic with a knife and finished it off with the strip wearing a decent pair of gloves
thats how i did it but im sure theres a better way than that
the factory manual says to use piano wire
gary

i have a polycarbonate rear window on mine. I smashed out the glass one and hacked the mastic off with a knife, and that wasnt too easy, id be very impressed if you got it out without breaking it

Do a search for cheese wire on eBay.
A set of handles and some wire will cut through bonded screens.
That's how the pro's do it.

Typhoon,
How do these windows stand up to yellowing? Like the idea of them but always worried that thay can become discoloured over time. Not a prob for a track car but on a road car that would look nasty.
Thanks
