Post  azza020191 21/04/11, 07:56 pm

hello guys i have a swift gti turbo which i have accquired a a project and hoping to make into a road going track car, i got the swift which started life as a gls been converted to a gti and then had the turbo conversion which i love Very Happy but when i got her i noticed she wasnt getting much power to the ground so i wet about fitting a lsd to her which improved it but not totally stopped her spinning those 17" wheels lol, i also wanted to upgrade the fuel system on it so i contacted suzukird and bought alot of gear form them over in the states, which are as follows 60mm racing inlet mani, 60mm tb, 255lph fuel pump, 440cc injectors fuel pressure reg and while i was at it got a msd ignition unit and blaster 2 coil just to finnish it off Razz ive also recently bought some highlift cams to go in her aswell, but upgrading the engine like this would be no good with out the stopping power which is where im stuck at the minuet i want to carry out the wilwood caliper conversion on the front but after speaking to steve there and enough intrest on the caliper brackets to beable to make a batch Sad so hopefully some will pop up somewhere.
but other then engfine mods and brakes i need to beable to corner so for that side of things i have a nice set of alu braces from hot suff malaysia and coilovers aswell for the front and shocks and springs for the rear. along with a 4 point which ive just had made by dominator Smile and then i will be putting a cage in there too for any accidents whilst on the track fingers crossed there wont be but better off saft rather then sorry. here a few pics of the car and the parts i have managed to gather so far.

right sorry to say most of the stuf you bought from suzukird is avalible on ebay or from the uk at a cheaper price the inlet really isent needed could have just got a cultus one (jdm spec swift ) or standards god for 300bhp and the throttle body is most likly the same as a nissan sr20 one wich bolts straight on. does your car still have a maf ? and what managment is it running ? for more traction get some 13x6 or 7 wheels and 205/60/13 r888s will stick like shit to a blanket. and again standard cams are good enough for 270 bhp (flywheel) and give a nice useable power band.

keep us updated

engine setup looks nice mate, Inlet looks good aswell. I dont like the front end but each to their own.

I have some 13" x 8" wheels on ebay atm if you need some.

What ECU are you running? are you on stock compression?

alright guys well i dont really much about the swifts i just bought all these things coz i like things to look nice aswell as go well lol atm it running the greedy piggyback ecu the blue one i need a standalone i think motec is what im looking for a ecu will the 13x6 wheels go over the new wilwood caliper conversion i was thinking of some 15" lenso rs5 in white tbh, i dont know about the compression setup on this i belive its running vitara pistons but not 100% sure it used to be on here "chris 5" was ther person hu done it all but looks like he aint signed on here for a long time which means i carnt find much out about it and while ive got the intrest i need some help with an slight oil leak somewhere??? where the gearbox joins to the engine under where the dizzy is i keep gtting oil sitting on the little lip on the gearbox but only appears when drove if i start it and leave it idle no oil but take it down the road and back there is a fair big of oil and i carnt see where its cuming from im sure its engie oil and not transmition oil as i can smell it when it gets hot ill post pic of where ther problem is
turbo project DSC00057
the oil runs down the top of the gear box under the blue sensor and rest's in the lip where the bolt is at the very front of the box

and i also have my coilovers fitted now and 4 point under brace, made it a very nice stiff ride Very Happy
