Quick release steering wheel
I need to buy a quick release steering wheel now that I have fitted new seats, I have heard that some can be a bit sloppy. Can anyone recommend one or share experience, good or bad?
Thanks

The hex ones are sloppy, strong enough and strong enough and cheap. Use the type used in open wheelers with a spline and keyway. more expensive but a better engagement. These are weld on types, dont know about the bolt on ones but imagine similar.

Re: Quick release steering wheel
I have a universal snap off adapter fitted to my swift, cost about £35 if i remember right off ebay about a year and a half ago as i find it easier to get in and out with the cage in when its off, it works perfectly but it puts the steering wheel about 3 inches closer to you than the standard one (doesn't bother me i prefer it that way). My friend bought a cheap £15 off ebay and that failed an mot for having too much play whereas mine sailed through with the same garage so cheaper isn't always better.
