Re: 92 Swift GTI
Right so the top pic is as it was when it turned up at my house after starting to pull it apart it was very clear it was going to be beyond
economical repair to weld it all up (a lot of structural rot in the usual places) we dropped upon a solid 03 for 80 quid.
The minor modifications required to sort the gls shell out far out weighed even attempting to weld the Zuke, so let the strip down begin

Re: 92 Swift GTI
Atchi was so close to getting a justy but the doner swift was such a bargain and absolutely solid the method in my madness is if we decide to turbo it next year might look at swapping floor pans ect.
I've always liked the idea of a 4x4 gti so I'm pretty confident it will happen just not sure which decade lol, yours is a very tidy motor 👍

I was sick whilst doing it 😢 not a massive lover of chopping stuff up especially ssgtis but on a brighter note it will be back to its former showroom glory plus a few added extras soon enough.

Not been on for while the joys of shift work lol. Anyway donor car is now in the workshop and pretty much a rolling chassis just a few bits n bobs to finish off, I was also thinking while it was at this stage in the project is it worth doing some strengthening mods to chassis without turning it in to a tank, any feedback would be good. Will be in the workshop Monday so will try and remember some pics

I wish I could take all of the credit but not really.
Jerry, Jimbo, Andy, Geoff and MattG.... just names but a few.
My mini project is taking longer than I expected but nearly there.
Cheers
